Gimme whisky..Else I'll Shoot you!!!

What still puzzles me is whether Manu Sharma was a Human or a BEAR!!!

The story goes like this....A hungry bear gets into a bakery's shop....Manages to find some good food...On disapproval by one of the Baker's good friend, the bear pulls out its 0.5 pistol, shoots at him and leaves!!!!

Stunned by this species, the Baker goes back home and opens up the Britannica Encyclopedia and looks for "BEARS". HE IS SHOCKED TO FIND THIS....

BEAR- An Animal often classified as wild, EATS SHOOTS & LEAVES.

Manu Sharma was perhaps like this very bear. On refusing to oblige by giving a whiskey...He pulls out his revolver and shoots at Jessica!!!

Sounds funny...But really ain't. What we really need to understand is that it is that one minute of effect of all the frustration that Manu, in this case had that made him resort to such a violent action.

This one shot from the Gun was the result of some BROUGHT FORWARD frustration in typical accounting language.

It is said that three things lose their effect and value when talked about, viz.,
Good done to others, Bad done by one's own self & Worries and Frustrations that have a deep dent in the heart.

It can, but happen to any one of us, pray not though, that the very point of frustration materializes when we have a revolver in hand or some dangerous equipment. What we can do about it so as to prevent ourselves from being a victim to frustration and its disastrous effects is of course emptying them at frequent intervals just like we do with our dustbins.

The Hunt…(of RATs n CAT(s))

With the Notifications running in from all the Top B Schools in the country, I am Prey to the CAT too!!

Just a year ago, I was thinking I wouldn’t be a part of this RAT race…I also mocked at my friends calling them RATs…as they were soon going to be victims of the CAT!! Seldom did I realise what was lying ahead of me.

For those who know me and read the “ABOUT ME” in the space allotted…you would already be thinking my feet are on too many boats..or rather…that my TWO feet are on TOOO many boats!

Well, I do have an Explanation.

CA & CWA, for the benefit of those who don’t know, are more of the typical “CORRESPONDENCE” courses in the Indian Sense.

Reason- They are attempted by every Tom, Dick & Harry; If Lucky, they clear the exams too; and there is no value addition other than the subject knowledge which is more self-learnt than imparted.

“Swadhyaya” is prescribed to be one of the optimum solutions to better understanding…but what happens here is not learning..I wouldn’t be termed erroneous if I said it could be compared to the process of eating food involuntarily.

The Food does go in, no doubt. It struggles to get digested, which doesn’t prove to be fruitful. Result: a gush through the Mouth..in simple terms, a VOMIT!!! May sound weird, but is true. I don’t include those who eat the food voulntarily and digest it and absorb what is required, for they are the ones who really make a difference to the profession .

Coming back to the Hunt, I felt Value Addition with respect to Communication Skills, Dynamism, Broad Thinking and Developmental Attitude is something that Professional Courses will never supply! However hard the effort might be, it is after all a part time affair and the FULL TIME EFFECT can never be given!

This has made me a take the race for the Best of B Schools in the country which have the niche that I am looking for. There again, there are so many factors of consideration . An interesting facet being the whole arena of uncertainty that prevails over the whole process. The ambiguity in the selection process and in the allotment is something that really needs a deeper look.

The B School is a place where the principle of What you think is What you are applies to a large extent. If you’d like to be a moron…you’re welcome and if you would prefer being an Angel…so be it!!

After my visit to a few of the Best Business Scools in the country and my voracios reading about various other Institutions in the country, all that i thought was ESSENTIAL was “BALANCE” & “LEVEL-HEADEDNESS.”

Might sound basic and fundamental, but what is made or ruined is this very Funda! Seeing thevariety of people at the Instis. there took me a bounce away! On one hand a Guy drinks all day and slogs all night to prepare for his Quiz the next day and tops the class! On the other there is this guy who does study..minus the drinking…might end up much lower on the grades! Reson: ATTITUDE…you might be wondering where am taking you…stay tuned..More to come soon.

Alos feel free to post ur comments. And yes; No offence meant for the Professional Courses.. I mentioned the exceptions already!

I would be honoured if the folks from the Big Instis do post their comment on the latter part of the blog.:)
